Park shares poetry from what he describes as his anthropological walk of "Warren-town" through readings he calls middle of the night poems; poems about waking, and waking-up; from dreams as well as bad times. And dreaming about forgetting, tender weeks, elastic times, and about love and how it evolves...how there’s never a way to ‘go back’ to something, but rather integrate it into our memory and face ahead; including history.
In the first of two scheduled one-man performances Park inspects some of these intersections in binary opposition: Reality/Dreamscape, City/Country, Black/White, Right/Wrong, Rich/Poor, Male/Female etc. through a selection of previously published and new poems; performed in lyric and conventional modes. Also Thomas will introduce three new monologues including the fun "The return of the Satan"
Thomas Park will be accompanied by a Musical guest (TBA).
Light refreshments will be served, donations are encouraged, and there will be an opportunity to purchase WAM publications.
